Mud houses are native and popular in Tabo as well as in entire Spiti Valley, this being a Cold desert. Mud houses keep warm in winter and cool in summer.
Every mud cottage has a very spacious living area, teak & sheesham aesthetically furnished in live edge style, bamboo curtains, an in-situ modern large bathroom with solar/diesel powered running hot n cold water and a front open balcony to contemplate the beauty of nature, colour saturated vistas of Sunrise & Sunset over the Himalayas, as well as to say a silent prayer of gratitude to that big appellate court in the deep blue sky !!!
